I'm not sure exactly when she came to be so special but I know it was somewhere around the 7th-9th month of Emma's life.

For several months she just existed.

She had come to us as a gift from a special friend at my baby shower.

A soft pink, fluffy stuffed rabbit.

And then all of a sudden she mattered because she became a baby's lovey.

First she was just "Bunny". Then out of nowhere she was "Katie" and Katie she has been ever since.

She is still soft pink. But not so fluffy. She is well-worn.

And she is loved as much as a stuffed rabbit can be loved.
