There once was a pretty little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes who loved to read books and go to sunday school.
She worked really hard to learn her verses and do her "homework" for class.
The teacher told the class that for each verse learned and each assignment completed there would be points given.
At the little girl's church there was a room with lots of prizes called "The Trading Post" where the children could use their points for items there. This excited and motivated the little girl to work really hard!
So on one particular Sunday morning the little girl's mom picked her up from her class. They began walking towards the front door of the church to leave when the little girl opened up her notebook to show her mom how many points she had earned already. She then said she wanted to get something for her little brother from "The Trading Post" because he was at home with a runny nose.
Well the little girl's mom thought about it and said "well, if that's what you want to do..." and so they went back downstairs to see what they could find.
Well you see, the little girl didn't have quite enough points to get most of what was in the store because she had only been attending that church for a handful of Sundays.
She walked around looking at this and that and finally noticed a small table against the wall that said SALE. There were a few items still left on that table and she looked at each one. She picked up a small set of mini-books entitled Creepy Crawlies that included one small glow in the dark bug!
Well the little girl thought that for sure her little brother would really like that and she even had enough points! So she "purchased" the prize for her brother and with much excitement offered her gift to him when she got home. And yes, he liked it very much. And yes, it wasn't long before he was being buggy again.......... but hey the moral of the story is that she loves him! She wanted to do something nice for him because she has a giving heart and she cares for him so much that she used some of her hard-earned points to get him a gift.
Her mom was very proud of her and told her so.
True story.
