Just having a little fun and a short update.

It's been awhile, huh?  Eight days to be exact.  That's a long time! ;)  Actually it's been a busy week....good busy though.  This past week was pretty normal with school work and all the every day stuff we do 'round here. 

Thursday we packed our suitcases for a night at The Great Wolf Lodge.  It was a  Christmas gift to the kids from Cory's sister and his parents.  Ok, actually we BOTH had a pretty good time too. :)  The best part was watching the kids have a blast though!  It was two days of water fun, donuts, pizza, and gift cards to spend on whatever they wanted.  Christmas in January!  A big THANKYOU to Aunt Summer and Nana and Pop. 

They also took all three kiddos for the rest of the weekend!  SO, I made good use of the time by catching up on fun stuff like cleaning and laundry of course, a long trail run, dinner in Charlotte with Cory, and a nose piercing.  Then there was church this morning, lunch, and then Sara C.'s baby shower. 

Huh? What? 

Did she say nose piercing?

Yes.  Yes, I finally did it.

Not so bad!  Actually Cory said it was a good thing the big dude that pierced it told me to close my eyes and breath in and out slowly.  Apparently he didn't want me to see the HUGE needle he was going to stick me with!

Here is a house update.  Cory and his Uncle Daniel got the area staked off where the house will sit.  He said that when they shot the elevation for the house, the lay of the land and the grade worked out perfectly.   Now we are just waiting to see when the "grader dude" can get started. 

I'm thinking I have a lot to learn about building houses!  Grader dude?

Nothing much

I'm sitting here on my couch with the window open listening to the rain outside.  I love the sound of it. 

I'm also trying deperately to think of something to write about.  Something witty?  Something inspiring?  Something informative or creative? 

Nothing.

I could write about my mini meatloaves with the tossed salad, sweet corn, and warm buttery rolls that I made for dinner......but then I think, who CARES?!  :) 

Not feeling it tonight.  Maybe tomorrow. 

Holey Jeans!

Look at these jeans.  Guess how long I've had these suckers?  I do believe I've had them since Emma was a baby at least.  I'm fuzzy on whether I bought them before she was born or after.  But still!  You see that rip in the left knee?  That is a genuine, wear it out so thin that it becomes a thread bare piece of beautiful denim.  I found these at the GAP outlet store for 10 bucks!  And they are even better than the day I bought them.  Yeah, this was a pretty useless post.  But I thought I would just share.  :)  I plan to keep them until they wear out in places it would be most inappropriate to showcase.  I would say I've gotten my money's worth, wouldn't you??!
