True Woman 2010 Chattanooga, TN

Esther 4:14 "Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" This was the verse that graced the cover of the True Woman Manifesto. A declaration of what we believe about God, scripture, marriage, the roles of men and women (designed by God), children, and much much more.
Voddie Baucham, Nancy DeMoss, Mary Kassian, Jennifer Rothschild, James McDonald, and Kay Arthur were the main speakers for the weekend. Keith and Kristyn Getty provided the music and they were awesome! The conference was everything I expected and more. It was refreshing to hear the truth and to know that there were other women there with the same convictions that I had. Definitely a must for Christian women everywhere! We were encouraged and admonished to fulfill our roles as women , roles designed by God, to support and respect our husbands, to make our homes our priority, to love our children, to mentor younger women in these areas, to grow in our relationships with God and to persevere under trials. We were inspired to be counter-cultural in a culture where the feminist movement has permeated every area of life.
I enjoyed all of the speakers but one of my favorites was Mary Kassian. She spoke about the contrasts between the wild woman warned of in Proverbs and a wise woman and has written a book called "Girls gone Wise." Of course I had to purchase it and get it signed as well! I look forward to reading it and writing my thoughts and what I've learned from it.
