The Beginnings of a New Life

A new gate has been set up. Part of the fields mowed down with a tractor that is FULL of mischief. One hard working husband and his dreamer wife. Three kids who will grow up countrified. 24 acres just waiting for memories to be made and deer slayed. Hey, that rhymes. And one house yet to be built. But it's coming....and I can't wait.

I can't wait to walk outside and smell the country air if the wind isn't blowing from across the road where the neighbors chickens are.

I can't wait to see wild animals. Even if that includes my offspring.

I can't wait to hear the sound of nothing unless there is shootin' goin' on.

I can't wait to go hiking on my own land and shoot a coon out of the tree. Yes, it's been done already. Just not by me. You can guess who.

I can't wait to make friends with the neighbors even if they smell like moonshine. I ain't kidding you about that one right there.

I can't wait for the garden full of fresh veggies and the deer probably can't wait either.

So many things to look forward to! I'm being totally serious about all of that too. :)

  1. Looks amazing. So happy for you guys! Can't wait to hear WHERE it is :) We are actually hoping to sell our house and move to Greensboro to be closer to Jake's work. So I don't know if that would be closer or farther away than where you're going?
